Get a head start on next year's Sunshine State Young Readers Award book list. I encourage all students to read the books on the list at their own speed and in any sequence they prefer. After finishing a book, students are required to take a comprehension test on Accelerated Reader and achieve a satisfactory score. Students who rise to the challenge of reading 10 books in the fourth grade and 15 books in the fifth grade will be acknowledged and awarded a special prize at the end of the academic year for their commitment and dedication to reading. Students can begin the challenge over Summer Break and be ready to take AR test on these books when they return in the fall. See the books below. Happy Reading Everyone!
